Da Mole Report – Jan. 30, 2018

Posted by Adina Morfoot on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at 7:43 pm

Hi Boss!

DNHS had a great turnout at da Eric Paredes Screen Your Teen event on Sunday.  It was so great seein’ all da kiddos comin’ out to get their hearts checked!!

Prior to gettin’ tested, da organizers had a CPR/AED station to teach da parents and teens how to perform CPR as well as how to use an AED machine in case of an emergency.  What a great opportunity to be able to reach so many people, Boss!

After da event, Eric Paredes’ mom, Rhina, wrote an e-mail to distribute to da volunteers and it included these numbers:

“Today we provided the gift of screening to 720 teens finding 6 with cardiac abnormalities that puts them at risk of sudden cardiac death and 4 with other cardiac abnormalities. “

Those numbers are HUGE, Boss!  Generally, da Eric Paredes Foundation finds one kid in 300 with da cardiac abnormalities that accompany sudden cardiac death – our rate at DHNS was three times that.  It’s just luck of da draw, but to find 6 kids at one screening makes da Foundation so happy that it’s making a difference.

If you weren’t able to make this event, please consider registering for their next free screenin’ at Torrey Pines High School on March 25.  Click here to register.

My sources have uncovered a fun event at Chick-fil-A in Del Sur.  On February 7, Chick-fil-A is hostin’ a Daddy-Daughter Date Night from 4:30pm – 7:30pm!

Da event helps foster an environment where Dads can provide their undivided attention and get to spend quality time with their Daughters.

Tickets are $10-$25 and include 40 minute table reservations with table side dinner service for dad and one daughter, dinner, fountain beverages, dessert & flower for each daughter. Tickets also include a limo ride, crafts, photo booth and dancing outside after dinner.

There is no dress code, however most of the girls attending “dress up” fancy dresses, princess dresses etc.! Please note some of the activities are outdoors so jackets/sweaters are recommended.  CLICK HERE for more information and to purchase tickets.

My final scoop for yous guyz is that Massage Heights 4S Ranch is offerin’ some HOT deals!! Today and tomorrow ONLY, you can schedule a massage or facial for $59.99 or $69.99.  This offer is only good for repeat guests and you must mention that you heard about this special through their email.

Da Mole – Jan. 23, 2018

Hi Boss!

My sources have really outdone themselves on my first scoop!  Olivenhain Municipal Water District tested da water at Del Norte High School, as part of a new state water testin’ program for schools. I am pleased to say that da water at DHNS does NOT contain levels of lead outside da allowable levels set by environmental agencies and that da tap water remains safe to drink.

A recent action by da State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) now allows for school districts to request free lead testin’ in schools. Followin’ strict protocols established by da SWRCB, Olivenhain staff drew up five water samples at DNHS on September 20, 2017.  Da results show there is no need for further testin’, Boss. Detailed results of da testin’ as well as da answers to frequently asked questions are available on da district website at

My sources have some unfortunate news to report.  Sadly, Wholesome Choice Pet Market in da 4S Ranch Village Center has closed.  No word yet on what will be movin’ into that location, but stay tuned.  I’ll be sure to keep yous guyz updated!!!
Rubicon Deli
My satellites are detectin’ heavy construction happenin’ at da future locations of Cowboy Chicken and Rubicon Deli in 4S Ranch Commons.

My sources have confirmed that there has been construction crews inside both locations everyday gettin’ da restaurants ready to open this Spring!

Salon de Claude in 4S Ranch is offerin’ an exclusive special for just our readers.

From now until Feb. 28, you can receive a FREE product with every color & cut!  Not too shabby, Boss!!

Just call Salon de Claude at 858.705.6051 to make an appointment, and mention this special! Salon De Claude is located in da 4S Ranch Village Center.  They are open Tuesday – Saturday 8:30am – 7pm.

Are yous guyz lookin’ for a special gift for Valentine’s Day?  What could be better than a hand-painted ceramic for your loved ones?

As a special for our readers, Color Me Mine in 4S Ranch Town Commons is offerin’ a $10 discount on any purchase if you mention Da Mole. Wow, Boss!! That’s a FANTASTIC deal!!!

My final scoop for yous guyz is that Chick-Fil-A is offerin’ FREE Chick-n-Minis on Jan. 24 from
6:30am – 10:30am.  This applies to all da San Diego area Chick-Fil-A’s.  Click here for more information.

Da Mole – Local 4S Stores Burglarized

Happy New Year, Boss!

I hope you and your family had a great holiday season!  Guido and I had a
wonderful time ringin’ in da new year in Times Square! It was a frigid night,
but we were surrounded by such an joy and enthusiasm that da cold really didn’t bother us.

We did decide to hightail it back home shortly after, however, to avoid da cold and snow of Bombogenesis!  Yikes! We love diggin’ in da snow, but that’s a whole new level, Boss! HA!

Even though I have been gone, my sources have been hard at work to uncover da best scoops for yous guyz!  On Friday, they reported some activity at da future site of da Rubicon Deli .

Apparently, da workers were breakin’ ground (literally) in da old site of Brett’s BBQ.  Looks like they are looking to put in new plumbing.  Hopefully, they will be havin’ a Grand Openin’ this Spring!

Guido can’t wait, Boss!! He LOVES their Dapper Dipper sandwich.  Click here for a link to their menu.

My satellites are reportin’ some unscrupulous activity in our 4S Ranch Community.  My sources have uncovered that in da early mornin’ hours on Saturday, Jan. 6, some unsavory criminals broke into Los Primos, Laser Away, and Corepower Yoga.

After smashin’ through da glass doors, da vandals allegedly used a sledge hammer to break open da companies safes!

There’s no word yet on da police leads, but stay tuned for more information!

Do yous guyz know anyone lookin’ to enter da lottery for Design 39 Campus? Well you’re in luck!  On Wed, January 17, 2018 from 9:30am to 11:30am and Thurs. Jan 18 from 9:30am to 11:30am there will be on campus tours to give yous guyz a chance to see da campus, observe daily activities, as well as learning about their 8 guidin’ principles.  There will also be a question/answer period as well.

If you have a 6th-8th grader lookin’ to transfer in to D39, then there is a special tour on Thursday Jan 25 from 6pm-8pm designed just for that age group.  Please be sure to review the boundary information HERE to confirm that your residence address is eligible for enrollment.

Da Mole – Holiday Lights, Santa and Mulled Wine

Posted by Nicole Brors on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 at 12:58 am

Guido and I had a fantastic weekend drivin’ da vespas around to see all da beautiful holiday decorations!  One of our good friends lives on Candy Cane Lane in Poway so we headed over there last night to check it out.

Boss, it was spectacular!!  All da homes were decked out to da nines!  We expected just to drive around da community, but it was so beautiful, we couldn’t help but to park da bikes and walk around with all da other families!

I am so happy we did! Some of da neighborhood children were givin’ away free holiday treats, and acceptin’ donations for da Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!  Over da past 9 years, they have collected more than $15,000 in donations!!  Boss, that’s what I call a real win/win!

If you are lookin’ to get into da holiday spirit, I highly recommend checkin’ out some of da amazin’ communities that host these great events!  For more information on where to find these communities, please click here.

Are your kiddos lookin’ to see Santa?  Then head over to da 4S Ranch Library on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 3:30pm – 5:30pm.  My sources have uncovered that da 4S library will also have a small craft for da kids and snacks. While supplies last.

Don’t forget to bring your camera if you would like your child to have his/her picture taken with Santa!!! For more information, please click here.

My next tip for yous guyz is that PigTails & Crewcuts in Del Sur is offerin’ a free pair of fashion earrings with every ear piercing.

This deal is only good through Dec. 31st and can not be combined with any other offer!  For more information, please click here!

How does enjoyin’ da magic of da holiday season with a glass of wine sound?  Then my next tip is right up your alley!  Head over to da Bernardo Winery December 18 – 23 from 4pm – 9pm for Holiday Nights!

Enjoy a romantic carriage ride around da vineyards, sip hot mulled wine, enjoy carolers and music nightly in da Bernardo Winery village. A Holiday Shopping village of local artisans and crafters will be open nightly in da lower parking area near Manzanita Roasting Co.

The Tasting room, Cafe Merlot, V’s Coffee and the winery village shops will be open til 9pm. Da village shops will have unique items for holiday gift giving and many of the shops have locally made products.  For more information, please click here.

In da spirit of giving, my final tip is for yous guyz lookin’ to make a donation to help those affected by da wildfires.  I’ll kick this out to my reporter on da scene, Adina Morfoot for more information.  Take it away, Adina.

Hi e-Weekly Readers!  The San Diego Foundation has activated the San Diego Regional Disaster Fund to collect and manage charitable funds for the response and recovery from wildfires currently impacting da San Diego region, including the Lilac Fire. Donations can be made online HERE or by texting “SDRecover” to 50155 via mobile phone.

The fund will receive donations and make grants to nonprofit service organizations engaged in disaster recovery and rebuilding. Funds granted through the San Diego Regional Disaster Fund will be based on a community needs assessment that leverages third party data, research and analysis to determine where the greatest needs are within the region.  If you are able, and looking to make a charitable donation this holiday season, this is a great opportunity to help our fellow Californians!
